Dress Tips for Success

While some of us can be glib about what we wear wherever we go, for most of us office-types, officewear is the norm. And if you want to be a success in the corporate world, dressing up for an important business meeting, for an interview, or a conference is a must.

Here are some tips for dressing for business.

Ties are not really necessary but if you are in doubt, you can wear a tie.Wear casual pants or skirts that are not too tight but fit you just right.It would be better to choose cloth that do not wrinkle easily and has solid colors.
Choose loong-sleeved shirts as these are more formal-looking than short-sleeved shirts.When choosing skirts, choose those that come at least to your knees while you are standing.
When choosing which socks to wear, dark socks that are mid-calf in length are best (so that no skin is visible when you sit down).Cotton, silk, and blends are appropriate. Velvets and shimmery fabrics suitable for parties are not appropriate. Fit should not be tight.
Leather shoes should be worn.Shoes should be leather or fabric / microfiber. Colors that are best would be black, navy and brown. It would be best if toes are covered.
Facial hair, if worn, should be well-groomed.Make sure your hair is managed well but too coiffed that you seem like you are on your way to a wedding.
Jewelery for men can be confined to a conservative watch.For jewelery, just wear a conservative watch. However, If the industry you work in is creative, you may choose to wear more jewelery.
Nails should be clean and well groomed.Keep a well-made face that is more conservative and natural looking. A little make-up is usually better than none. Nails should be kept clean and well groomed.
