Loving Lola. Loving Food.

Filipino cuisine has been influenced by different flavors and tastes from early Chinese and Indian traders, Asian immigrants and former colonizers. All over the archipelago, we see traces of these influences in our native cuisine – root crops from Malay influences, noodles from Chinese immigrants, meat dishes from Spanish cuisine, and spices from India.

Filipino food is either boiled or stewed (nilaga), roasted (nilitson), or broiled (inihaw). Local dishes are very rich in flavor and color, containing a merry mix of spices and different plants. Although there are many different ways of preparing dishes from the different regions of the Philippines, all our dishes are reminiscent of our culture – rich, colorful and filled with love.

Lola Maria's Restaurant's dishes offer all these to those who seek the warmth and comfort of home. The flavors of Lola Maria's evoke wonderful memories – of dining at lola's table, together with lolo, tito and tita, mama and papa, nieces and nephews. To eat is to share, and to share is to love. Love abounds in Lola Maria's.
